This Bacon & Brie Grilled Cheese recipe elevates the classic grilled cheese with creamy brie and crispy bacon, creating a rich and indulgent sandwich. Perfect for a gourmet twist on a favorite comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of sourdough bread
  • 8 slices of cooked bacon
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup fig jam (optional)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • Place 4 slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  • Layer brie cheese slices, bacon, and apple slices (if using) on the bread in the skillet. Spread a thin layer of fig jam on the other 4 slices of bread (if using).
  • Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
  • Grill sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
