Ingredients
- 8 slices of sourdough bread
- 8 slices of cooked bacon
- 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/4 cup fig jam (optional)
- 1 apple, thinly sliced (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place 4 slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
- Layer brie cheese slices, bacon, and apple slices (if using) on the bread in the skillet. Spread a thin layer of fig jam on the other 4 slices of bread (if using).
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
- Grill sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
