Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in heavy cream and add butter. Cook until butter is melted and the mixture starts to simmer.
  • Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the Alfredo sauce.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
