Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¾ cups sugar
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda

- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
- For the frosting, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with heavy cream, and mix until fluffy.
- Once cakes are completely cooled, spread frosting between layers and over the top and sides.
