Description

This Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-up recipe is a delightful twist on two breakfast favorites. With sweet cinnamon-sugar filling wrapped in soft bread and cooked like classic French toast, these roll-ups are quick, easy, and perfect for a special morning treat or weekend brunch.


Ingredients

8 slices white sandwich bread

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

2 tbsp butter (for cooking)

Maple syrup, for serving


Instructions

  1. Trim crusts off bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Spread cream cheese mixture on each bread slice and roll up tightly.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix eggs and milk.
  5. In another bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar.
  6. Dip each roll in the egg mixture.
  7. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook roll-ups until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Roll warm roll-ups in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Serve with maple syrup.

Notes

Best served fresh. Can be prepped the night before and cooked in the morning.
