Ingredients
- 1 lb crawfish tails, cleaned and cooked
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- 3 cups bechamel sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups alfredo sauce or a creamy seafood sauce
- 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Cajun or Creole seasoning
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
- Add crawfish tails to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook for another 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.
- To assemble, spread a thin layer of alfredo sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
- Top with a layer of the crawfish mixture.
- Drizzle with bechamel sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, ending with a generous layer of cheeses on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Allow the lasagna to rest for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add a touch of cayenne pepper to the crawfish mixture.
