Description

Unveil the taste of the bayou with this sumptuous Crawfish lasagna. Layered with tender crawfish tails, creamy sauce, and melted cheese, this dish is a delightful fusion of Cajun flavors and classic Italian culinary traditions.


Ingredients

  1. 1 lb crawfish tails, cleaned and cooked
  2. 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  3. 3 cups bechamel sauce
  4. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  5. 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  6. 1 cup ricotta cheese
  7. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  8. 2 cups alfredo sauce or a creamy seafood sauce
  9. 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  10. 1 onion, finely chopped
  11. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  12. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  13. Salt and pepper to taste
  14. 1 teaspoon Cajun or Creole seasoning
  15. 1/2 cup green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add crawfish tails to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook for another 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.
  5. To assemble, spread a thin layer of alfredo sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  7. Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  8. Top with a layer of the crawfish mixture.
  9. Drizzle with bechamel sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  10. Repeat the layers, ending with a generous layer of cheeses on top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  12. Allow the lasagna to rest for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions before serving.

  • If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add a touch of cayenne pepper to the crawfish mixture.
