Description

This creamy garlic shrimp pasta recipe is a rich and satisfying dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions. Made with tender shrimp, a luscious garlic cream sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta, this recipe is both comforting and elegant. Quick to prepare and full of flavor, it’s a must-try for seafood and pasta lovers alike.

Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).

  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  5. Return shrimp to skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss everything together.

  6. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen shrimp, just ensure they're thawed and patted dry.

Add a splash of pasta water if the sauce is too thick.

Great with linguine, spaghetti, or penne.
