Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

For the glaze:

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze.
  5. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, then spread the remaining glaze on top.
  7. Continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
