Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
- Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, kidney beans, and black beans.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

- For a thicker chili, remove the lid during the last hour of cooking.
