Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, thyme, or parsley for seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the condensed French onion soup, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until combined and heated through.
- Add the cooked noodles to the beef mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle crispy fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
