Description
This Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta recipe combines juicy shrimp, rich garlic butter sauce, and pasta for an easy, flavorful meal perfect for any night.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Deglaze the skillet with white wine or chicken broth, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and lemon juice. Stir to combine.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add cooked pasta, Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water (as needed) to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Substitute white wine with chicken broth for an alcohol-free version.
- Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra veggies.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
