Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked white rice (day-old preferred)
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Push garlic to the side, add beaten eggs and scramble.
- Add peas and carrots, stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the rice, breaking up any clumps, then add soy sauce and oyster sauce.
- Toss in the cooked steak and green onions, mix well.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
