Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked green beans (fresh, frozen, or canned)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 box (6 oz) herb-seasoned stuffing mix
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth.
- Fold in the cooked green beans and half of the crispy fried onions.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the stuffing mix by combining with chicken broth and butter. Stir until moistened.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer the green bean mixture evenly in the bottom.
- Top with the prepared stuffing.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the stuffing is golden brown.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top, and bake for another 5-10 minutes until crispy.
- Serve hot.
