Ingredients
- Ground beef
- Salt

- Butter
- Rye or sourdough bread

Instructions
- Form ground beef into patties, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and cook the beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté sliced onions until caramelized. Remove from heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side, add a beef patty, and top with caramelized onions and another slice of cheese.
- Place another slice of bread on top, buttered side out.
- Cook the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
