Perfect for kids and adults alike, these sliders are easy to assemble and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 frozen breaded chicken tenders (or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 green olives (for eyes)
  • 12 toothpicks (to secure eyes)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional for garnish)
  • Butter (for brushing buns)
  • Garlic powder (for brushing buns)

Instructions

  • Cook Chicken Tenders:
Cook the breaded chicken tenders according to package instructions, or prepare homemade breaded tenders. Set aside.
  • Prepare the Buns:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the bottom halves of the slider buns on a baking sheet. Lightly brush the insides of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Assemble the Sliders:
Place one cooked chicken tender on each bottom bun. Top each chicken tender with a spoonful of marinara sauce and a slice of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Melt the Cheese:
Place the sliders in the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Add Monster Eyes:
While the sliders bake, cut small slits into the top of each olive and place them on toothpicks to create "monster eyes." Once the sliders are done baking, secure the olives onto the top buns with toothpicks.
  • Finish and Serve:
Place the top buns on the sliders, securing the olive eyes. Optionally, garnish with fresh basil leaves for extra flavor. Serve warm and enjoy the spooky fun!

Notes

  • For an extra spooky touch, add ketchup "blood" dripping from the sides of the sliders.
  • You can make a vegetarian version by swapping chicken tenders with breaded eggplant slices.
