Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef, uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish and spread evenly.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
