Description

Indulge in fluffy and delicious pancakes reminiscent of ihop pancake recipe famous buttermilk pancakes from the comfort of your home.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the beaten egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and sugar.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold just until combined. Avoid overmixing; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
  4. Preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup portions of the batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve immediately with maple syrup, fruit, or your preferred toppings.

Notes

  • To make your pancakes extra fluffy, let the batter sit for a few minutes before cooking.
