Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, beating until well blended.
- Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Form Cookies: Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
