Ingredients

1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Boil carrots in salted water until tender, about 8–10 minutes. Drain well.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in honey and lemon juice.
  3. Add cooked carrots and toss to coat. Cook for 2–3 minutes until glazed.
  4. Sprinkle with lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

You can use baby carrots for convenience.

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
