Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine melted butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the wet mixture and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
