Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios

For the Cream Frosting:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup pistachio paste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  • Mix in vanilla extract and pistachio paste.
  • Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until combined.
  • Fold in chopped pistachios. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let cake cool completely before frosting.
  • For frosting, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and pistachio paste until stiff peaks form.
