Description

Dive into layers of rich and flavorful meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and perfectly cooked lasagna noodles. This San Giorgio Lasagna Recipe is the ultimate comfort dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 box San Giorgio Lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the San Giorgio Lasagna noodles as per the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and ground beef, cooking until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the marinara sauce, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano to the beef mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  6. In a 13x9 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce. Lay down a layer of lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
