Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Trim the ribs of any excess fat and remove the membrane from the back of each rack.
- Mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl. Rub this seasoning mix all over the ribs.
- Place the ribs in the slow cooker, curling them around the edges with the meaty side facing out.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Remove ribs from the slow cooker and brush them with barbecue sauce.
- Optionally, broil the ribs in the oven for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Serve hot with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
Notes
- You can customize the dry rub with your favorite spices or add a bit of heat with cayenne pepper.
- For even more flavor, marinate the ribs with the dry rub overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
