Description

Experience the ultimate in tenderness with these slow cooker baby back ribs. Cooked low and slow, these ribs are seasoned to perfection and finished with a flavorful BBQ sauce for a melt-in-your-mouth meal that's perfect for any BBQ or family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim the ribs of any excess fat and remove the membrane from the back of each rack.
  2. Mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl. Rub this seasoning mix all over the ribs.
  3. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, curling them around the edges with the meaty side facing out.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender.
  5. Remove ribs from the slow cooker and brush them with barbecue sauce.
  6. Optionally, broil the ribs in the oven for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  7. Serve hot with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

  • You can customize the dry rub with your favorite spices or add a bit of heat with cayenne pepper.
  • For even more flavor, marinate the ribs with the dry rub overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
