Ingredients
1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
8 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
4 garlic cloves (minced)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 lemon (zested and juiced)
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Cook the pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp: Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp. Toss with lemon zest and juice, and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper, if necessary.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can use any pasta you prefer, such as linguine, spaghetti, or fettuccine.
For a creamier version, add a splash of heavy cream or a dollop of cream cheese.
Adjust the lemon quantity based on personal preference for tanginess.
