Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
4 cups water
4 black tea bags (or green tea, if preferred)
1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Extra peach slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine sliced peaches and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and mash peaches to release more juice. Strain the peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract as much juice as possible.
In a separate pot, boil the remaining 2 cups of water. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and stir in honey or sugar while tea is warm. Let it cool slightly.
Combine peach juice, brewed tea, and lemon juice (if using). Stir well.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Serve over ice with peach slices and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Adjust sweetness based on your preference.
You can use white tea or green tea as a variation.
Make it a sparkling drink by mixing in soda water just before serving.
