This easy 30-minute Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes recipe combines the classic flavors of Philly cheesesteak with the ease of sloppy joes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Divide the mixture evenly among the buns and top with provolone cheese slices.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
