Description

Alabama Fire Crackers are a bold and spicy snack made with saltine crackers, zesty seasonings, and crushed red pepper flakes. These addictive crackers are packed with flavor and perfect for parties, gatherings, or a quick, fiery bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (16 oz) saltine crackers
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 23 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Place the saltine crackers in a large, sealable plastic bag or airtight container.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together canola oil, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the seasoned oil mixture over the crackers, seal the bag, and gently toss to coat evenly.
  • Let the crackers sit for at least 4 hours or overnight, turning the bag occasionally to distribute flavors.
  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread the crackers on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through, to crisp them up.
  • Let cool before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Try with oyster crackers or mini saltines for variety.
