Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti or penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage, breaking it up as it cooks. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook until meat is browned.

  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, sour cream, and half of the Parmesan cheese until smooth.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
