Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork or sausage
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup ketchup, divided
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, 1/2 cup ketchup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking tray.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and mustard to make the glaze.
  5. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
