Description

Chicken Cordon Bleu is an elegant yet surprisingly straightforward dish. It features chicken breasts stuffed with ham and cheese, wrapped in a crispy breadcrumb coating. Perfect for a special dinner or a tasty weekend meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Flatten chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place a slice of cheese and a slice of ham on each breast. Roll up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Dredge each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown chicken on all sides.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
