Description

Chicken Wild Rice Casserole is a delicious and hearty dish combining tender chicken, nutty wild rice, and a creamy sauce. Perfect for family dinners or potlucks, this casserole is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked wild rice
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms, chopped celery, and chopped onion. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cooked wild rice, sautéed vegetables, condensed cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, sour cream, shredded Swiss cheese, and slivered almonds. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
