Keywords: Peanut butter blossoms, chocolate kiss cookies, peanut butter cookies, holiday cookie recipe.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Extra granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 24-28 Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Make the dough: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Shape the cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and roll each ball in granulated sugar until fully coated. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake: Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  • Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra softness, slightly underbake the cookies.
  • You can store these cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
