Ingredients
For the Pork Chops:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Bacon Gravy:
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat pork chops dry. In one bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
- Dredge & Fry: Dip each pork chop in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, then back in the flour. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Make the Bacon Gravy: In the same skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk, then season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
- Serve: Pour bacon gravy over fried pork chops and garnish with crispy bacon pieces. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra-crispy chops, double-dip in the flour mixture.
- Use buttermilk instead of regular milk for a tangier flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or biscuits for a complete meal.
