Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb lump crab meat
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Slowly whisk in seafood stock, white wine, and tomato paste until smooth.
- Add heavy cream, milk, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gently fold in crab meat and lemon juice. Simmer for 2 more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
