Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter, plus more for the pan
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
- Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the beaten eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter.
- Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
- Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly brush with melted butter.
- Cook Pancakes: Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for another 2 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
