Description

These crispy spicy salmon bites are the perfect combination of crunch and heat! Made with fresh salmon, bold seasonings, and a golden crispy coating, they’re a delicious appetizer or main dish. Perfect for seafood lovers looking for a flavorful, protein-packed meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, season the salmon pieces with garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, black pepper, salt, and onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten egg (mixed with hot sauce if using) in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
  • Dredge each salmon piece in flour, dip into the egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from heat, drain on paper towels, and garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less cayenne and hot sauce.
  • Serve with sriracha mayo, tartar sauce, or a spicy aioli.
