Description

This Crockpot Beef and Noodles recipe is a hearty, savory meal featuring tender beef, flavorful broth, and soft egg noodles. Made effortlessly in a slow cooker, it's the ultimate comfort food for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chuck roast (or stewing beef)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp water (for cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the roast. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  4. Once the beef is tender, shred it using two forks.
  5. Add the egg noodles to the crockpot and stir. Cover and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes until the noodles are tender.
  6. Optional: Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then stir it into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use frozen egg noodles for a heartier texture.
  • For additional flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a bay leaf while cooking.
