Description

Crockpot Green Bean Casserole is a convenient and comforting side dish, perfect for freeing up oven space during busy meal preparations. This version uses a slow cooker to meld flavors beautifully, featuring creamy mushrooms, tender green beans, and a crispy onion topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (10.75 ounces each) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked green beans
  • 2 cups crispy fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. In the crockpot, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  2. Stir in green beans and 1 cup of crispy fried onions.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  4. Just before serving, top with the remaining cup of crispy fried onions and cover for an additional 10 minutes to warm through.

Notes

  • Fresh green beans can be used instead of canned; blanch them before adding to the crockpot.
  • Add bacon or cheese for an extra layer of flavor.
