Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
- Crumb Topping: 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cold butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Combine flour and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Spread 3 cups of batter into the prepared pan. Spread cherry pie filling over batter.
- Drop remaining batter in spoonfuls over the filling.
- For the topping, mix flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until lightly browned.
