Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
- Add Sprinkles: Fold in the sprinkles, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
- Form and Bake Cookies: Scoop large dough balls (about 3 tbsp each) and place them on the baking sheet. Slightly flatten each ball. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are set but centers are soft. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring.
Notes
- For extra color, press a few additional sprinkles on top before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature.
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can help keep cookies thick and soft.
