Description

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 small Persian cucumbers or 2 large English cucumbers
  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Red chili flakes (optional, to taste)
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and pat them dry.
  2. If using Persian cucumbers, cut them into bite-sized chunks. If using English cucumbers, cut them in half lengthwise and then into bite-sized chunks.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and chili flakes (if using).
  4. Add the cucumber chunks to the bowl and toss them until well coated with the sauce.
  5. Let the cucumbers marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top for garnish.
