Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley, lemon wedges
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper.
- Add steak bites in a single layer to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
- Stir in fresh thyme and return the steak bites to the skillet. Toss to coat the steak in the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use ribeye or New York strip steak instead of sirloin.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet to ensure a good sear on the steak bites.
