Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or any other favorite seasonings

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  • Thinly slice the potatoes and layer them in a greased casserole dish.
  • In a bowl, mix the soup and milk until combined, then pour over the potatoes.
  • Add the cooked beef and onions on top of the potatoes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly across the top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
