Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika

- 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the dish.
- Spread half of the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes, then pour half of the soup mixture on top. Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and soup mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese, and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with sour cream and fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
