Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns, thawed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or any other favorite seasonings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Mix well.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer the ground beef mixture evenly.
- Spread the hashbrown mixture on top of the beef.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the casserole.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
