Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add broken lasagna noodles, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until noodles are tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the cheese melts into the sauce.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top, cover, and cook for 2 more minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add more heavy cream or a dollop of ricotta cheese.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a side salad for a complete meal.
