Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Form into 4-6 patties.
  2. Brown patties in a skillet over medium heat, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft. Sprinkle flour over onions, cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the gravy thickens.
