- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Divide the batter into three equal parts.
- To one part, mix in cocoa powder. To the second part, mix in strawberry puree. Leave the third part plain.
- Spoon a layer of chocolate batter into each cupcake liner, followed by vanilla batter, and top with strawberry batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Frost the cooled cupcakes.

- For a more intense strawberry flavor, add a drop of strawberry extract to the strawberry batter.
