Ingredients
- 1 large ciabatta or focaccia loaf
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cucumbers
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers
- 4 slices salami
- 4 slices capicola
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp black olives, sliced (optional)
- 3 tbsp Italian dressing
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the ciabatta or focaccia loaf horizontally and spread mayonnaise (if using) on the bottom half.
- In a large bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, banana peppers, and black olives. Drizzle with Italian dressing and toss to coat.
- Layer the salami, capicola, and provolone cheese evenly on the bottom half of the bread.
- Top the meats and cheese with the chopped salad mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the top half of the bread over the salad, press down gently, and slice into individual servings. Serve immediately!
