Ingredients

  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir marinara sauce into cooked beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, and 1 cup mozzarella.
  • Layer half of the noodles in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Top with half the meat sauce and half the cheese mixture.
  • Repeat layers, finishing with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
