Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ricotta, and half of the shredded mozzarella.
  • Spread half of the cooked spaghetti in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Dot with slices of butter.
  • Layer the cheese mixture over the spaghetti, then top with the remaining spaghetti.
  • Pour the meat sauce over the top and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
